The Vision Behind Grand Tours
We are a family run tour company based in the Highlands of Scotland.
Our founder, Gordon, started the business back in 2019. Sadly he passed away in 2023 after a short illness, but his passion for providing high quality tours and sharing unique stories continues on with Carole and the team, having over 15 years of combined experience delivering tours.
We don't just drive; we narrate the history, guiding you through stories carefully etched in stone and across the landscape. We know the local stories, having lived in the land, and we love sharing them.
The Heart of the Journey
A Highland Welcome
“Travel as a guest, not a tourist.”
To us, true luxury isn't found in a brochure — it’s found in a genuine greeting and the freedom of a flexible pace. We host you as we would a friend, providing the refined comfort of our premium fleet while adapting every turn to your personal rhythm. This is Scotland on your terms, wrapped in the warmth of a family who cares.
Stories, Not Just Statistics
“History told by those who live it.”
Beyond the cold dates of kings and battles lies the living soul of Scotland: its legends, its folklore, and its people. Our guides are not lecturers; they are storytellers and neighbors. You won’t just leave knowing the history of the glens; you will leave understanding the heartbeat of the land and why it remains so deeply magical to those of us who call it home.
The Luxury of Ease
“Simply remain present; we handle the rest.”
Whether a coastal excursion or a long odyssey, your journey is defined by total fluidity. From door-to-door service to the quietest scenic routes, every detail is managed so you can remain in the moment. We believe the Highlands belong to everyone, ensuring our journeys are inclusive and accessible to all.
Preserving the Highlands
We love Scotland, and we want to keep it pristine. Grand Tours of Scotland operates with a 'Leave No Trace' philosophy. We support local, independent artisans, small-scale distilleries, and family-owned boutiques to ensure the wealth of tourism stays within the communities we visit.
